The Bridge Inn / Y Bont, Conwy

bridge“This is the place where this whole idea steadily evolved into a reality. Between June 2008 and Janaury 2009 this trip was muttered in hushed tones from beer #3 onwards, and with the fine selection of  whiskys, conversations continued long into the evenings. The owners of the pub have generously sponsored us money towards the car, and will be raising awareness of the trip and helping with some fundraising. All is much appreciated Keith & Jenny, all staff, and all locals!”

In the owners words: “The Bridge Inn on Rose Hill Street, Conwy is the first pub to greet you on crossing the Conwy river. Offering a traditional fayre of fine ales, wines & spirits as well as tea, coffee and soft drinks the Bridge Inn is the perfect place to start or complete your exploration of Conwy and the surrounding area.”

Y Dwygyfylchi

dwygyfylchi200One of Richs regular pubs nestled at the bottom of the Sychnant Pass, who have donated a sum towards Gol, and rightfully get their place on our sponsors page. My crossing of the Dwygi threshold over the past few years has mainly involved watching a successful Welsh rugby performance, and was there for the Grand Slam in 2005, stopping the Sychnant Pass traffic with a spontaneous pissed party in the street.

Thank you for your support Y Dwygyfylchi.
